DungeonRig is a Windows virtual tabletop (VTT) for game masters running in-person, TV-table, online, or hybrid tabletop RPG sessions. It combines battle maps, fog of war, music, and encounters. Local table play works offline; remote play uses an internet connection.
Download the Windows launcher. It installs DungeonRig and handles updates, keeping your maps and campaigns separate from the game files. Keep backups of important worlds. The download page has the installation guide.
The game master needs Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit. Download the launcher, then let it install the game. Allow extra disk space for updates and your own media. Performance depends on your maps, media and devices; try your intended setup before a session. For table play, connect a TV or monitor over HDMI or DisplayPort. Remote players join in a modern browser without installing the desktop app.
Images from our paid packs and paid adventures (maps, portraits, and other art) carry a small embedded tag tied to the licence they were bought with, and a paid adventure's text is locked to that licence. If DungeonRig finds a tag from another licence, it won't import that image, and a paid adventure licensed to someone else won't open. Your own maps, your own art, and homebrew images are never affected, and nothing of yours is uploaded: if we enable optional leak receipts, a signed-in app may send us only the opaque tag after such a block, never the image or your files (see section 3.9 of the Privacy Policy). If you licensed the content, reinstall it from the store using that licence. Bought a paid adventure with an earlier licence and now use a different one? Email us and we'll send you a move code that moves it, with your edits and campaign progress, to your current licence. With a paid licence active, opening such an adventure also lets our support team know (only its tag, never its content; see section 3.10). If something was blocked by mistake, email contact@dungeonrig.com and we'll sort it out.
