Step-by-step install

Check any browser warning
Chrome or Edge may say the file “isn’t commonly downloaded”. Check that you downloaded it from dungeonrig.com. For a download-reputation notice, review the browser’s details before choosing Keep (Edge: Keep anyway). If it reports a threat, stop and contact support.

Run the installer
Double-click the downloaded file. If Windows shows a blue “Windows protected your PC” screen, check the app name and publisher using the SmartScreen guidance above. The installer adds DungeonRig Launcher to your Start menu and desktop.

Start DungeonRig and grab the starter content
Open DungeonRig Launcher from the Start menu, then install and start DungeonRig from there. In DungeonRig, choose your starter maps and tokens from the in-app Store, and download the packs you want to play with.

Keep DungeonRig up to date
The launcher checks for updates and manages the game installation separately from your campaigns, maps, notes, and library. Follow any prompts shown by the launcher, and keep backups of important worlds.

DungeonRig runs on the game master’s Windows computer. Remote players join using a compatible, up-to-date web browser, an internet connection and your lobby link.

If something goes wrong
The download won’t finish or the installer reports a corrupt file: delete the launcher installer and download it again. If the full game download is interrupted, reopen the launcher and retry; it will never mark an incomplete download as installed.
Your antivirus quarantines the installer: keep it quarantined and contact support with the detection name and installer filename. Leave antivirus protection enabled while we investigate.
